Excellent grab of light and burst.

Thank you Approvers and commenters! This photo has special meaning to us, as it was taken in the woods behind my mom's retirement home. We had her memorial service just the day before. A fitting tribute to her. A long spell of persistent, frosty fog was pierced by these sun rays just as my husband drove in and he took the photos.

Congratulations on a wonderful AC! I could not help to recognize the vegetation, i.e. moss about the wooded area. I spent 3 tours at Ft. Lewis, WA.
The last tour my wife and I chose to live in a different region of Washington than the 2 more southernly cities; Olympia and Spanaway. We rented a nice home in Bellevue, close to Lake Sammamish, (The Sunset Lake). Thanks for posting and bringing back fond memories. Again, a wonderful series and thoughtful tribute to your Mother.

I'm glad, Freebird, that this photo brought back nice memories for you - yes, once you have lived around here, you can't miss the vegetation "look" whenever you see it again. You didn't live too far from where this was taken.

Stoneygirl, I appreciate your insightful view of this series, as that is where my heart is at right now. It was so Providential on how and when this series came to be. Thank you.

And thank you to each of you for your kind comments and I'm happy others can enjoy and contemplate the scenes.
