Not sure - never heard of a chippie - but I was mainly going by the beak - and does look a bit like the female junco - I surely don't know about types of birds.

Do you think it is a junco! I could not think of that name earlier. Backwardguy just posted one! You both did a fantastic job with it. Mostly they usually show up quite drab in a photo as black and gray and the beak is almost impossible to get without a blur. But of you really got great detailed shots!
