Caption: after weeks of seeming nonstop rain, we finally got a little sunlight, and what a bright picture it painted on the fields waiting for their farmers to come and sow their seed (it going to be a loooong time before it dries out enough for them to get their tractors out there)

thank you, bumpui and CynthiaSue! right now almost all the fields are full of these blooming yellow 'weeds'? I asked a local farmer what they were, and he said 'I don't know - I just call 'em a nuisance!' Too bad all nuisances weren't that pretty, huh?

About PlanetPest

PlanetPest

Hello everyone!I have loved taking pictures since I was a child, borrowing my Dad's Kodak 110...In February 2008, my big brother Dan bought me my first digital camera. Oh, what fun, to take all those pictures and not have to pay for film!My favorite subject is nature, and all that pertains to it. God has blessed me with the opportunity to see many beautiful things - from my backyard in the Midwest, to the places that I have been priviledged to visit.I'm still very much an amateur (did I even spell that right?) I guess, that gets a lucky shot once in awhile. Thanks to you all for sharing the wonderful things that you see and experience!
