Shenandoah, IA (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: He saw me from way out on the island, swam quickly and came running up the hill, quacking all the way. Missed supper last night. too many boats and loose dogs in the park. He hid quietly on the island. Tonight, no dogs or boats and a very hungry duck. Hungry enough that he tolerated my touching his body. Didn't like it, but didn't want to risk missing that next tasty morsel. Wonder how long it will be before he jumps up on the bench next to me?

About Nikongranny

Nikongranny

Old, retired with lots of time on my hands and a Nikon. Lucky for me, there is a park just north of town that provides me with migrating birds and sunsets. Since joining this site, I have a new appreciation for this scenic world we live in. I especially love the comments from so many great people on here.
