Julie: I noticed in your gallery that you are trying B&W. Good for you, especially if you did not grow up with it, as I did.
I think taking photos in BW can really help to improve composition skills because that is what BW primarily depends on (in addition to the contrasts of white and black). I will not check out the others in this series, and keep on sharing BWs with us. - Betsy

You did well on your b&w. Those old tracks look good in B&W. Really sets the mood of this little used railroad.

A wonderfully executed black and white Julie! You have true blacks and true whites making for a dramatic image. Nice one!

About MTDisk

MTDisk

Hi, my name is Julie. Photography has always been of interest to me and now I can safely say my feet are getting wet! After raising 2 children and many commitments I am now finding some increments of time to spend on my new hobby! While still raising/training a puppy and husband I hope to hone a few skills yet! I am always in amazement of the talent on WU Photos! While I absorb, enjoy and learn from each and every one of you, I hope that your patience can hang with me while I learn. I have always loved weather, nature, animals and flora. To me it is all atmospheric related! Thank you all for your inspiration!
