Omaha, NE (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: I have a wide range of photos today as I took a walk in the forest atop the Looses Hills in Iowa this afternoon and then was able to catch the sunset at Walnut Creek. I hope you get a chance to look at the series. This was sunset. The colors were extraordinary.

Ah yes, that is my soon to be famous "sunset tree". There is a little peninsula that juts out on the east side of that tree that gives me pretty good access. Also the two trees are just far enough apart that I can move back and forth along the peninsula to get the best color and composition depending on where old mister sun is shining.

I think it is the contrast between the blue and the goldish color. I have never seen a reflection quite like it. Not one with such a noticeable difference.

About LarryD

LarryD

I really enjoy this site. The wonderful photos I see here never cease to amaze, and inspire me. I look forward to reading the comments on my photos. I am inordinately pleased when I am awarded an Approvers Choice. I use Nikon equipment and am especially fond of macro photography. I continue to be astounded by the beauty in the miniature world visible though my lens. Additionally, I rarely have to venture very far to find interesting subjects. The Henry Doorly zoo is my favorite location. If you get to Omaha Nebraska. I highly recommend you spend some time at the zoo with your camera. Larry
