Omaha, NE (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: I have never seen one of these in person until today. I had been envious of Nikongranny as she has been posting photos of these guys for a couple weeks. Today I saw my first one, and he had about 20 of his closest friend! I had a great time trying to catch the little guys. They were VERY busy.

Try are fast. Sometimes using your flash is a good way to catch them without blur.

Not to mention they are very fast and never stop their wings even for a second. Haven't seen any today around here or in the park. Great catch. Your's were visiting prettier flowers than we have around here. Congrats and 10 from Iowa friends

About LarryD

LarryD

I really enjoy this site. The wonderful photos I see here never cease to amaze, and inspire me. I look forward to reading the comments on my photos. I am inordinately pleased when I am awarded an Approvers Choice. I use Nikon equipment and am especially fond of macro photography. I continue to be astounded by the beauty in the miniature world visible though my lens. Additionally, I rarely have to venture very far to find interesting subjects. The Henry Doorly zoo is my favorite location. If you get to Omaha Nebraska. I highly recommend you spend some time at the zoo with your camera. Larry
