Nice shot. Great mood. Love the lines, the curve of the sidewalk and the lights at different levels making that diagonal line of light and dark. Love it!

Ansel Adams, yeah, well thanks anyway:) I wish I could have had someone sit on the bench. I think that would have really made the shot, but there wasn't anyone around. Looking at the photo in color it is about the same. It really was a pretty monochromatic scene.

Thanks for all the comments. Kind of silly how much they mean to me.

You must have studied the Ansel Adams
handbook of great black and white
photography.

This is absolutely stunning.

Congratulations on your AC!

I really enjoy this site. The wonderful photos I see here never cease to amaze, and inspire me. I look forward to reading the comments on my photos. I am inordinately pleased when I am awarded an Approvers Choice. I use Nikon equipment and am especially fond of macro photography. I continue to be astounded by the beauty in the miniature world visible though my lens. Additionally, I rarely have to venture very far to find interesting subjects. The Henry Doorly zoo is my favorite location. If you get to Omaha Nebraska. I highly recommend you spend some time at the zoo with your camera. Larry
