Quoting katy99780:
What an AWESOME photo Jack! GLORIOUS!

I was kinda sorta near your area yesterday, saw some beautiful 'porpoising' lenticulars forming over the giant Wrangells.

What a unique and beautiful place, and if you get a day not overcast, you can (almost always) count on lenticulars over these beauties!

Sure would love to see you post more often, you are a talented artist.

Thanks, Katy. Don't get to post many photos because I'm now living on the Nabesna Rd., and we don't have internet here... yet. But OH!, what photo ops with the Wrangells just out my front door, and the Alaska Range out back.
It's always a treat to look over your own contributions when I have the opportunity. You do quite well yourself.
And to all the others who left such flattering comments - Thank you all. Your appreciation is what makes this site work so well.

About LDWinger

A resident of Alaska since 1957, now living on the north edge of the huge Wrangell-St Elias National Park & Preserve, I've traveled all over the state and found the Copper River Basin to be the place I prefer to call home. Magnificent scenery in every direction, four full seasons (although 3 of them can be pretty short), and wonderful people. Still, it is enjoyable traveling to other parts of North America, preferably on a motorcycle, seeing the scenery that the rest of the continent has to offer. We are truly blessed to live in such a nation, with such an abundance of natural riches.Create your own visitor map!
