Kennebunk, ME (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: The contrast made me smile. We had snipped some branches of forsythia to force inside, and had purchased some early Florida berries to enjoy during the storm. Nourishment for the soul.

What a great way to "hunker down" for the storm as we say here in Florida. And with a gorgeous bunch of our winter Strawberries!!! How the heck did those beauties get way up to Maine. They must be from Plant City (the best!). And yours look better than the ones we get here. LOL. We only ship the best to the best!!!

Congrats on a creative shot with fantastic execution! Love it.

Stay safe and warm.

Nice composition, Wilma! And congratulations.
Been mostly rain in central NJ, with a little snow and sleet. Don't know whether I'm relieved or disappointed. Some snow predicted later.
Stay safe, and enjoy. - Jim

What a lovely contrast! These are the times when I wish that I still lived in Maine, instead of on the West Coast. Well, I'm happy to have spots of sunshine today, in between the rain storms passing through here. Hope to get to the parks and see what kinds of birds I can find to photograph. At the same time, I'll imagine that we're all at your house, enjoying your strawberries and chocolate, along with some bottles of champagne (I'd be glad to bring some.) Wishing you a safe Nor'Easter from Camano Island to my birthplace, Bar Harbor! Maria

y'all just be safe up there. Looking at current satellite view: WOW! Going to be a hum-dinger once the northern storm phases in to the coastal storm. makes me think back to the Great Blizzard of '78 in Michigan. Of course being a kid back then I was happy that we were gonna have some snow days off of school. but after 8 days being in the same house with Ma, Pa, and the brothers, i was ready to resume anything that would get me out. Make sure y'all got some heat.

Hah! Ok, that was good! The high rating was because this image showed up on the half-size thumbnail on my wunderground home page, and all I saw was Forsythia blooming with snow as a backdrop, so I thought someone actually had outside Forsythia blooming in the snow! You got me. Oh -- and the image IS good for the soul, too and beautiful! Mmmm - strawberries, you just need some melted dark chocolate now! -RC in MI

Wow!!! Love the contrasts, and the colors against the snow!!! Right into my favorites, Wilma!!! Congrats on the new blue, and stay safe in the storm...

Florida strawberries are good, but you haven't had a strawberry until you've had one fresh picked from the field in Michigan... I don't they even make it out of the state, before they're eaten up!! =)
