******SIGH!!!!,,,,,I remember this as I mentioned in my mail to you....gosh it was awesome!! We were kind of disappointed that they discontinued the little 'ride' crossing over to the island...at least,I think this was the one?? Still,,nothing like being there at sea level, looking up so close to one of the most famous of lighthouses in Maine, and as far as I know,it's still FREE right?!!! Such a beautiful area too!! How I miss it!! THANKS SO MUCH for sharing this exciting and scenic view with us here,Wilma!! I especially appreciate your Maine shots!! It's always a thrill and pleasure to view them, and other New England views from you and the rest! :)

Thank you so much, Linda and Betsy, for your votes and notes! Yes, in the lower left, you can see just a bit of the rock I was standing on - a bit slippery with all that wave splash, though! *grin*

A supreme composition, Wilma, with so many things of interest. I trust you were standing on another sturdy headland. What a viewpoint.

Thanks, Elaine. It was such a pleasure to see all the winter tourists with their cameras, taking each other's pictures with the Nubble in the background!
