Thank you Katy and Gene for your comments!

Katy, weather was really nasty, snowy and windy. It was quite loud but not too much. Boeing 737s are a little bit louder but it was fun too.

Gene, I love this video and other from St Maarten! This place is amazing! If I could afford to travel around the world, I'd like to stand in that spot too. :) Couple years ago at EPLL airport fence was quite close to the rwy threshold and I could feel that jet blast too but now it's moved farther away to secure approach lights (it ends at decision bar so it's to far to feel the blast).

Kewl!

Go and goggle all the videos taken at TNCM in San Maarten, where you have beach, road, fence, and runway!

Saw a video of some dumb chick almost getting pwned trying to hang onto the fence when a JBU A320 was taking off, and she lost her grip and took a header right into a small berm. People seem to do that all the time there, despite the signs warning them to stand clear.

Ah, here we go, found it:

Idjits...

Anyway, at TNCM you can almost get a haircut by a plane's landing gear if you place yourself just right. :D

You're welcome! In my country you can get as close to the airport's fence as you want. Of course you can't do anything stupid, if you do - airport security service will catch you really fast!
In addition plane spotters are welcome on our local airport. They even have built an observation hill higher than a fence in agreement with airport management.

Totally awesome !! I've always wanted to that, but here in the US they don't usually allow that.
Thanks for sharing the picture and video :)

Yesterday I said that I will go to the approach path to stand below landing airliner. So I did it :)

Have a nice day!
