I think that American and European Larches are quite similar, in spring my neighbour's tree gets exactly the same colors as you described them.

We have larch here in Alaska too. They get beautifully golden in autumn like yours, then loose their needles.

In spring, they get lovely, soft, pale green needles, a beautiful lime color.
