We had these same clouds down here in Florida today!!!...glad the smoke stayed up there...I am also of two minds on this issue...can't throw the baby out with the bath water, so until hi-tec can heat the water without toxins, keep the machinery working...

This is where wealth is being produced. In a few minutes the firebox will heat up and burn clean.
I am going to add that it was smokestack industry that in large part created the wealth of our country.
We really can't click and clerk ourselves a prosperity. We must produce something.

Personally, I would rather see the smoke and soot. Toxic chemicals can be odorless, colorless and tasteless so we never know when we are breathing them. The lesser of two evils, I guess.

I really like this photo. The clouds are fantastic. What was the lens you used and what focal length? When I see a photo I like, I try to learn from it.
