What am I?

Otaki, New Zealand

Caption: I'm often told I have an eye for spotting things that others miss... This moth(?) was on the driveway and everyone else had walked right past it. (Sadly it was still there the following day and I have a strong suspicion that this is now an ex-moth. I have never seen this species before. Anyone know what it's called?

Had a search and it looks like "North Island Lichen Moth" (Declana nivea) hope that helps. Lovely looking moth can see how it would blend with Lichen

* * * NEWSFLASH * * *I DID IT!! I am now the proud owner of a Canon SX40 and am thoroughly enjoying discovering it's features, especially the greater zoom capacity! I grew up in New Plymouth, New Zealand, but have lived the past almost two decades in Palmerston North, where I sign for Deaf students.I am a "just for fun" photographer who enjoys getting out and appreciating nature in all it's different seasons and beauty. I feel God has given me an eye to appreciate His work around us.I really enjoy having a place like Wunderground to share my love of nature shots and to enjoy all of your fantastic shots as well. You can be sure, if I'm going away anywhere, my camera will be in my bag somewhere!
