It was the heaviest rain I have seen in Winnipep Arlene! I mean, I have seen it as heavy, but not lasting so long`-it usually only lasts for a minute or two like that; this time it was nearly an hour!

Wow! Seems to be happening in many places in Canada and the US this summer. Here in Maine we've recently had some of the heaviest downpours I've seen in many a year.
