Thanks Shirley! It is snowing again here, so spring is still a-coming; but not arrived yet!

Thanks Kat! Yes, I believe the reddish curve is likely the result of light refraction. I was down at the river again tonight, and much them same phenomenon showed up in the image.

Cool (cold, even) view, Bill! I like how the trees
first have reflections and then long shadows.
Unusual reddish curve above the sun really caught
my eye. Is that light refraction or...?????
The Blue border also caught my eye. Congratulations!

Thanks Sharon! Pretty soon now (I hope) when I go up to the river, it'll be flowing free.

Thanks Heidrun! Usually the river is in flood by this time, but the water is very low-perhaps that is one reason it hasn't broken through yet!

Thanks Julia! This has been one of the longest winters I remember here; but I must admit it's give me many opportunities for snaps!

Thanks Mary! This is the only open water on this part of the Red River; thanks to the local water treatment plant which empties warmer water in here!

Thanks Gil! I went up to the river to see if it had broken through yet, and decided that the sunset would make a nice picture.
