Thanks! It was taken on Wednesday afternoon, about an hour before thunderstorms got rockin' and rolling around here (though not overheaad.) These clouds were probably over the Jarrell/Salado area.

Gary, was this picture taken Wednesday or Thursday? Regardless, I love our Big Blue Texas skys! On Wednesday during lunch I took my car to get washed. As I drove away from the carwash I saw some dark cumulonimbus clouds heading toward Central Austin. Instead of running a few more errands, I decided to go back the the parking garage at work. Good thing I did, because 15 minutes later it poured down. See, I made it rain by washing my car. :)

This pic is a Favorite of mine, Gary.

About GaryVA

GaryVA

My interest in weather really spun up during my career in wildland fire management in Southern California, as weather has a tremendous affect on wildfire starts and behavior. This is an, ahem, older photo of me in those days. I'm now living in central Texas, and weather is a very serious hobby of mine. My weather web site, providing current, historical, and forecast weather conditions for Central Texas is Round Rock Weather. var sc_project=2591691; var sc_invisible=0; var sc_partition=25; var sc_security="b5a0cb54";
