One of the old wives' (or old farmers') tales about weather forecasting is that cows gathere together before a rain. This one has a lot of truth to it, and cows near Round Rock, Texas, are gathering in advance of showers and thunderstorms.

It's almost as if the cows are looking at you and about to say "whassup man?". It's a great capture.

About GaryVA
GaryVA My interest in weather really spun up during my career in wildland fire management in Southern California, as weather has a tremendous affect on wildfire starts and behavior. This is an, ahem, older photo of me in those days. I'm now living in central Texas, and weather is a very serious hobby of mine. My weather web site, providing current, historical, and forecast weather conditions for Central Texas is Round Rock Weather. var sc_project=2591691; var sc_invisible=0; var sc_partition=25; var sc_security="b5a0cb54";
