Yeah, that's part of what makes it so cute is that they consider here a pup and happily put up with being hugged all the time.

You already know I think this shot is precious, but I'll say it again. From what I know about wolves and wolf hybrids, they would be strongly protective of a "pup" that was part of their pack.
