About Dreamweavers
Dreamweavers "Happiness is about the journey, not the destination." Pull up a chair and take a breather. I'd like to tell you a little about our story. When we quit our corporate jobs in 1981, our friends and family thought we had lost our minds! And when we moved to the gold country of Northern California to live in a tent and mine for gold for the next 6 years, they knew that was the case. In our defense, when Charlotte and I met, we were at a crossroads in life so we decided to create a future together using a different script. "We took the road less traveled by" that Robert Frost wrote of. It was important to us to spend time together, so instead of each of us pursuing a career apart from the other, we decided that whatever we did, we would do it as a team. That has led us down some very unique and interesting roads, starting with our gold mining adventures. We have cut and sold firewood, painted houses, done landscaping, owned an antique business and owned and operated a very successful organic farm and cut flower business. We have worked for Hickory Farms, spent 7 months selling advertising for an RV guide and we did photo appraisal work for a mortgage company. In 1997, we began our house/ranch/pet sitting service. That adventure has taken us all over the US where we have met many wonderful and interesting people. Today finds us living in Brookings,Oregon, 5 minutes from the Pacific Ocean. We love this beautiful planet and all it's wondrous vistas. Each day offers new adventures and we love to capture as much of God's beauty as we can with our camera. In addition to photography, we write about our travels on our blog which you can visit at www.ourjourneyoftheheart.com. We feel greatly blessed to be on this journey. Although all of these activities have allowed us to be together and put food on the table, none of them have given us as much satisfaction or sense of purpose as what we are doing now! Happy Trails, Larry & Charlotte, The Dreamweavers
