Williams, OR (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: Sorry about all the bobbing around. I had neither tripod nor monopod, only a fence post to lean on. I had to share this routine. The Jay's get to the sheep bowls in the morning before I turn the sheep out.

Thankfully, we don't have the magpie right here. I cannot tolerate
them. We had them down south when we lived in Santa Clara CA.

They are at that stage here, with their young, and so are the magpies,
who match them for noisiness and then some! But theyreally are fun
to watch!

Thank you Steve and Kat.

The only thing objectionable about the Jay is the racket they make
talking to one another, and it gets worse when the young are out.
BUT, they are fun to watch and photograph.

Hahaha...those jays are food oriented, for sure! We have them here and
I swear they know thesqueak of the hinge on my front doorand if I put
food out, you can't count to five before there is a jay getting the first bite!
Cute GIF of this clever fellow (gal?), Julia!

After many years of film cameras, theadvent of digital photography has expanded myinterest in the hobby. My two favorite camerasare the Nikon Coolpix P500 and the PanasonicLumix DMC-FZ100.The Pacifica Gardens property has become thepreferred subject of my photography becauseof its natural beauty.
