Oregon Faux Rain

Williams, OR (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: We're looking at a long stretch before rain comes into the forecast again, so this is how we make rain. Well, that is for folks with irrigation. We are dry land farming, so it's a good well and long hoses for us.

Well, if you can wander around at will, it is your property
by proxy, right? :-)
p.s. LOVE Steve Miller!

Ooooo, if it were only so, but alas, this is not our property, Kat.
This is across the road and is a botanical garden and nursery.
It sits on 500+ acres, has the two major ponds that you see
mostly in my morning shots as well as the original home built
in the 1950s (I think) and the Steve Miller barn that wasn't, it
was really a sound studio, but he told them it was a barn.

Anyway, I love this place and I am welcome to wander around
and photo any aspect of it as I share my photos with them for
their web site and brochures.

Thanks again, Kat, for looking in and writing!

I understand irrigation, Julia! Hoses, ditches, ponds, pipes...any way to get the water
where you need it! I just love this shot! The lighting is awesome and you can see all
tiny drops in the air as they turn to gentle mist for your flowers (I can almost hear the
flowers saying "Ahhhhhhhhh!") I love the mountain scene framed by your entry gate.
It's like a picture within a picture! Beautiful shot and it's easy to see why it went Blue
quickly! Congratulations, Julia!
