Yes, I can see where they would remind
one of their grandma.

Thanks, Sharon!

Hmmmm, maybe. I'll look it up and see.

Thanks, Mark, for helping and writing.

UPDATE: I looked on the web and, yes, it
definitely looks like the viola.

Yes, it definitely looks like the violet family,
I just don't know the exact variety.

This little beauty was on a stem only about
two inches above the ground under blackberry
brambles in an area near a stream.

Thanks, Lynne, for looking in.

About Doesiedoats

I’m a native Oregonian, born in Tillamook and reared in the greater Portland area. After working in the Bay Area in the semi-conductor industry as a Human Resources Representative, my husband and I retired in 1999, returned to Southern Oregon and settled in the Williams area. Photography interests started early on with a Kodak Box camera and later a Kodak 616 given to me by my father, a semi-professional photographer. After many years of film cameras, the advent of digital photography has expanded my interest in the hobby. My camera is the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ100. The Pacifica Gardens property has become the preferred subject of my photography because of its natural beauty. I have captured all four seasons over the past twelve years. I’m pleased to be able to share some of those photos with my WU friends. Please visit my web site via the link below.************************************************
