Thanks, Mindi,

We have a book on mushrooms....somewhere,
but not knowing where, I couldn't and wouldn't
hazard a guess as to whether this thing is safe
or not.

Sometimes animals may ingest things that would
cause us great distress...or even death.

Like...don't try this at home, kiddies!

''Beyond, the Thunder Drome..."? lol...Superball Sunday looks like! When my hub and I were back visiting my daughter when she lived in Virginia..she took us through part of the Jefferson Forest..and we saw these things big as volley balls,,no kiddin'!!! The deer seemed to enjoy it as well,as we noted them munching on some..thinking how edible these could be? Awesome shot Julia!:)

Thanks, Katy and Eileen!

This one was about 4 inches across the
oval...it was more oval than round. I
have a top down shot I should probably
upload to show the patterns and shape.

Thanks again, for looking.

This is so beautiful, love the perspective, the color, and the wonderful detail of this lowly puffball. A real gem Julia.

About Doesiedoats

Doesiedoats

I’m a native Oregonian, born in Tillamook and reared in the greater Portland area. After working in the Bay Area in the semi-conductor industry as a Human Resources Representative, my husband and I retired in 1999, returned to Southern Oregon and settled in the Williams area. Photography interests started early on with a Kodak Box camera and later a Kodak 616 given to me by my father, a semi-professional photographer. After many years of film cameras, the advent of digital photography has expanded my interest in the hobby. My camera is the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ100. The Pacifica Gardens property has become the preferred subject of my photography because of its natural beauty. I have captured all four seasons over the past twelve years. I’m pleased to be able to share some of those photos with my WU friends. Please visit my web site via the link below.************************************************
