Williams, OR (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: This is a single frame out of the couple of hundred frames I took for the time lapse. The many fires in SW Oregon have layered smoke all around the valleys.

We too, Lori, are hoping the same.

Yesterday (July 29) had the worst smoke
I have ever seen. My husband, Silverbeaver,
has seen it before while fighting fires
in the l970s for Weyerhaeuser in the Klamath
Basin.

We hope this is not turning into another
Kalmioposis of 2002. Part of that area is
included in this current burn.

I pray for those firefighters too. Most of the smoke we are experiencing right now are from Southern Oregon. I pray it isn't another 'when the rains come in the fall' before they are out situation again.

Thanks Sharon and Eileen.

I have this sinking feeling this will
last a few more days at the very least.

All we can do is pray for reduced winds,
lower nighttime temps and a little more
humidity. The firefighters are doing all
that can be done.

Not a drop is predicted in the next ten
(10) day period, but I'm with you. Rain
would be very nice right now.

Thanks, Betsy, for stopping by.

After many years of film cameras, theadvent of digital photography has expanded myinterest in the hobby. My two favorite camerasare the Nikon Coolpix P500 and the PanasonicLumix DMC-FZ100.The Pacifica Gardens property has become thepreferred subject of my photography becauseof its natural beauty.
