Oh, no, by spray I mean water misting in
the early morning hours.

By mid morning I can't count the number of
bees and butterflies on those beauties.

I didn't want to spray mine, Julia, because they are such favorites with bees and butterflies. Didn't seem right to poison them.

Thank you very much, Kathy and Steve.

The Coneflowers are, of course, across
the road where they are professionally
tended and misted on a regular basis. They
only have to put up with bees, butterflies
and my camera.

Excellent macro, Julia -- terrific focus and DOF. Beautiful coneflower too; bugs ate holes in mine before I could photograph them.

then wanted out of there.

About Doesiedoats

Doesiedoats

I’m a native Oregonian, born in Tillamook and reared in the greater Portland area. After working in the Bay Area in the semi-conductor industry as a Human Resources Representative, my husband and I retired in 1999, returned to Southern Oregon and settled in the Williams area. Photography interests started early on with a Kodak Box camera and later a Kodak 616 given to me by my father, a semi-professional photographer. After many years of film cameras, the advent of digital photography has expanded my interest in the hobby. My camera is the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ100. The Pacifica Gardens property has become the preferred subject of my photography because of its natural beauty. I have captured all four seasons over the past twelve years. I’m pleased to be able to share some of those photos with my WU friends. Please visit my web site via the link below.************************************************
