Hi,
I think this photo says alot(i.e.)this bird has always and should be a representation of freedom and pride of America and all the universe. No matter what happens in the eagle's lives; they always stand with their head held high and I'm sure they, just as I am proud to live another day.
I was about 3 years old when I saw my first picture of an eagle in a World Book encyclopedia, black and white. That image has never left my memory and til this day I long to take my first picture of one.
Congratulations on AC! Thanks for sharing.

kathy99780, Becky, Picatso, Doesiedoats, gingyb, nanapoo, and YouKnowWho,
Thank you for the many, many kind comments.
nanapoo, I think you are spot-on with the age of this eagle. Four years old is the age I would have guessed.
Doesiedoats, it is fantastic to be able to spot these beautiful birds. Of course Alaska has more eagles than any other state, but I believe Florida comes in second. Since I first picked up a camera, I have never taken nature for granted.
Thanks to all!!!

It's great to be able to capture shots
of this magnificent bird. We used to see
a lot of them while living in Klamath Falls
Oregon. I do miss seeing them.

Congratulations on your new AC.

About Denalidaze

Denalidaze

I have loved photography since I was quite young. My mother had an old box camera and I was always excited to see the magical pictures when she had them developed. She mailed them off and I would check the mail each day to see if they had returned. As I grew, the cameras in my life also grew. My husband and I love to travel. During our 45 years of marriage, we have never bought each other Christmas, birthday, or anniversary presents. Travel each year was our gift to the other. Of course with travel comes pictures. I have been to 47 states and many foreign countries. On our first trip to Europe, we purchased a 35 mm Canon camera in Germany. I Took MANY picture and slides. I used a lot of my photographs in the classroom (30 years) and brought the wonders of the world to my students. My first digital camera was a Sony Mavica. Wow, digital discovery was like eating food with no calories. What a way to celebrate life! On our many visits to Alaska, it is not unusual for me to take 60 GB of pictures. Now, I seldom leave the house without my camera. Yes, I have loads of pictures, but I am always looking for more pictures to take, and ways to improve my skills. I do retain copyright on ALL my photos. Please ASK before using my pictures. Thanks in advance for asking my permission.Create your own visitor map free counter for your website
