In the past weeks, two months the significant factor with manifested effects in our earthy weather conditions was a solar activity at very low levels, characterized by B-'class' solar 'flare' events, with some chances for C-class flares only.

In February 2013 one and in March three medium-sized, M-class solar flares occurred only. It is good to have occurred: they swept away a lot of saturating, accumulated particles from the space of our solar system.

Thank you to you all! Picture taken in March 15, day of our national holiday, traditionally. This year's March 15 was the day of the fight against the extreme weather nation-wide, rather than of the celebration. For this reason, this year the planned program of the central ceremony in Budapest also was cancelled. We were after strong temperature decrease, very powerful wind-and snow storms

About Danube

Danube

'Danube' (András Juhász): I am a photographer interested in the visualisation of the effects of suddenly appearing solar wind storms. At the same time my colour rich photos also want to mirror the Carpathian Basin's atmosphere, the natural beauty of its wide open spaces and its versatile Cultural Heritage. I return rarely, only when I have something to say about the matter under discussion, and also when I have a great time enjoying myself producing something worthwhile. Thank you for your friendly visit. Goodbye!.In period November 2007 - July 2012 one million four hundred thirty-three thousand visitors were counted here.New start: 13 September 2014.
