The present Nagyboldogasszony templom ('Our Lady's Church') in Buda Castle was constructed in two stages between 1250 and 1270. It is the Coronation Church, named Mátyás-templom ('Matthias Church'). You can see a detail of it on this photo. See also:

The solid forms of stones are broken by their worked lace lines. Stained glass windows of the church and its Zsolnay-made roof colours give a three-dimensional experience this image of the night lights.

Wonderful nighttime capture of the castle. The lighting is superb!! I am especially fond of the light shining behind the stained glass windows. What a beautiful place. The architectural design is fabulous!!! It is always uplifting to see your various views of this historical castle. Bravo!!!
