Glad you made it through the wind and waves in that rockpile, Peter! And it's good to hear no one was hurt by the storm.

This actually was on the news in Denver. They
showed a huge wave coming on shore. That was
quite a storm! I thought of you when I saw it
on the news and hoped you were safe. Glad you are!
Nice shot and series, Peter! Congratulations on
your Blue!

We didn't get it as bad & the tide was low, the rain on the other hand was incessant! Congrats on the blue border.

Thanks for your kind comments, when I saw this weather coming I planned where to be, amongst these rocks is always exciting with the wind from that direction, I had to be sure footed though as the tide was rising fast and being at the far end of a boulder field 50yds long is not the place to sprain an ankle or break a leg. Turned out just as planned, if I ever get it wrong you will probably never know, but life is sweeter with a little risk in the mix. Everyone has power now and the damage wasn't huge, sadly quite a few trees went but nobody got caught up in the casualty list.

About Cowgazer

Cowgazer

I am Peter, brought up in the center of Manchester, UK. But was a square peg in a round hole there, worked 33 years as stockman in dairy farming then made redundant. Luckily got a job managing a garden nursery for a couple of years, but had to leave as tenancy came to an end. Couldn't find work so relocated to Wales and am now a self-employed gardener, great move, good things come out of hard times. Digital tech has made photography affordable to me and I love it, compliments my walking and Birdwatching. At present on a steep learning curve, new things are always good, stretch your mind and keep you sane-ish.
