BEAUTIFUL PICTURE. COLORS ARE SO VIVID IT LOOKS LIKE YOU SET THERE AND PAINTED IT. I THINK ANSEL WOULD ADMIRE THIS SHOT.

Yes, Mindi, pine beetles are a major issue here. There's lots of deforestation and many trees being cut down. I'm doing my best to digitally conserve what's left.

Also, for some reason my editorial didn't take. What I meant to say was that the park got 8" of snow yesterday and I drove around looking for the right light and shot. Turned out to be Ypsilon and Fairchild Mountains off of Trail Ridge Rd.

VERY BEAUTIFUL AND MAJESTIC COMPOSITION BOB!! I am sorry that thoes pines seem to be under the pine beetle attack though? I've heard they are devastating parts of the state as they are doing some big damage here as well...not to detract from you FABULOUS A/C!! CONGRATULATIONS!!:D Instant favorite for me! I envy your photo opps!! :D-Mindi
