Somerset, CO (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: No, this is Paonia Reservoir and the reason the water is that color is because the reservoir is filled from the snow melting off the mountains and as it runs down the mountain, it brings some dirt with it. The dirt will settle out after a while and the water will be pretty and clear. This is the reservoir that provides the irrigation water for the farm through a series of miles of ditches. Even though its name is Paonoa Res., the closest town is Somerset.

There is quite a bit more snow up there, so
maybe there will be sufficient water this year.
I think so. I hope so! Thanks!

Beautiful shot, Kat !
So great to see the reservoir filled with melt water - and hopefully it will get replenished throughout the summer with rain water to assure a good crop on your farm !
