Bakerville, CO (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: I always see this mountain and I like it in any season, because of it's shape. This time, I had to get it, so I just pulled off on the shoulder. Man, those cars and trucks seem to fly by when you're standing out there. They seem close, too...but I had to do it. I have to find out the name of this one, too, but I do not know it now. This is somewhere between Bakerville and the Eisenhower Tunnel.

Not too daring, Maria..there are a lot of
places I'd love to stop, but the shoulder
seems a bit narrow, so I chicken out!

Thank you so much for the information, SperoLuminaSD!
I have often wondered. I just know it always
catches my eye when I'm headed West and come
around the curve and get my first glimpse of it!
I bet the views are awesome from up there, but I
think I will take your word for it.:-)

This is Mt. Bethel. I've always found this peak interesting, and was fascinated by it as a kid. Its worth a day hike. Steep, but a little over 3 miles round trip. At 12,705' is gives some awesome views of I-70 and the surrounding area.
