The West Elks Begin To Blush

Payne Siding, CO (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: The sun was setting behind me, but there were no clouds to the West to make it very interesting. We were on our way back to Hotchkiss from Delta and when I came around the curve that opened up this view, beginning to turn pink, with the fields taking on a warm glow, Bud was forced to endure "just one more stop, please!". The road you see is Highway 92. We were still in the farming valley East of Delta.

Thank you, Heidrun! The sun was almost down, and within 5 minutes of this shot, the colors
were gone from the sky. Glad I stopped.
