Thanks and thanks!

I'm not sure if they're just itchin' (fleas, mange, etc.), or if they're yanking out clumps to "feather a nest" of sorts.

He's adorable - sorry! Our are missing chunks too. It could be mating season has made them a little snarky with one another.

Thanks and thanks!

And yeah, this was the nice one, not the eeeee-vil one. Today this one was practically banging on my back-door looking for food. So I go and put out some peanuts for the birds, some on the table out back, and handed a big juicy peanut to this critter (the same baldy one). Came close, but didn't quite take it, so I just lobbed it 6" or so, and she got it.

Thanks²!

Actually, this might be the nice one.

One nice one will come right up to me and take peanuts right from my fingers when I hold 'em out.

One nasty one, when I do the same thing and hold out, like, *food* for the critter, will growl and bark, and actually attack my hand (clawing and biting, 'though no blood drawn, else I'd be having Squirrel Chili right about now). Repeatedly.

Ummm, like, if that's such a trauma, wouldn't it make more sense to just turn around and goway, rather'n repeatedly attacking the Hand With Food?

Idjits...

Anyway, thinking about this now, this particular critter may be the nice one.

Oh yeah, this is Yet Another Baldy Squirrel. A few of them have big chunks of fur missing, dunno if it's self-inflicted or what. Ideas?
