Caption: When I saw this, I ran to put the macro lens on my camera. I got only two shots before it flew off. Though it looks like a wasp and acted threatening, I believe it was just a harmless sawfly. Uncropped.

Good picture. What's really nasty about palmetto bugs is that they will sometimes fly at you if you try to spray them. And they are BIG!

Basically a palmetto bug is a really BIG roach.
