A prescribed burn started Thursday, intended to clear brush and dead leaves from this state park, soon got out of control due to high winds and dry conditions that should have precluded the burn. By dusk on Saturday, this is what the fire looked like from the park entrance. Smoke still blanketed the area by Saturday night.
