Thanks so much everyone for your comments! If you're shooting under a blue sky, you'll often end up with blue snow. Snow also has a strong blue cast when you are photographing in the shade on a sunny day, under a blue sky and the snow is only receiving light from the sky itself. In this case I was shooting in the shade with a blue sky overhead. I know you can adjust the white balance, but the blue stripes from the blue sky were kind of fun!!
