Caption: about that strange noise she is hearing. I'm trying to do a calf call. Peter (cowgazer) said I'll get their attention more if I did that. Well it would help if I knew how a calf calls before I tried, lol.

Love the look, Delana! When I milked a herd of 140 cows I had to go out and get them from way out in a far pasture every evening and by the time I got the far side of the herd moving the other side I'd already started would often quit moving and be standing still. There were 4 dogs on the farm but not a one was a herder. So I decided to get those girls moving I'd bark ---it sure sparked some action! I had no trouble keeping them moving while I gathered the rest! One day after I'd done that I came around the corner of the barn to find some guy standing there with a puzzled look and he asked me where the dog was? Embarrassed, I had to explain there was no dog, that it had been me barking to keep the doggone cows moving! :D He just laughed.
Next time, try barking a little---cows are extremely curious and will often come to you to see what the noise is! :D

Delana, your going to get yourself a reputation if your not careful, people will start talking. Though I must admit that animal calls used to be my party trick on the farm, used to have fun making them when people were walking through, kept them on their toe's.
