Oh no! A couple of chain saw carvers came from WA state and did lots of carvings using the local driftwood. They say it is harder to find where they live. They sold a lot of their work while they were here. I think they did the elephant to honor the island across the bay whose tip on one end looks like an elephant with it's trunk laying out across the water. If you check out my Sept. 27, 2011 series there is a shot of Elephants Nose... see if you can see the nose. Oh, just noticed that my earlier shot, Beautiful Morning also has Elephant's Nose in it.
