Thanks for sharing this photo, BriarCraft.

Isn't it possible that the dream was fulfilled, and we're simply seeing the aftermath? How else would it look after the dreamers had gone?

Somebody was probably very happy and proud when they built this home and maybe raised their children here.  What a view!

Congratulations! What a lovely photo.

Whenever I see old, abandoned homes, I try to picture them with their earlier inhabitants. Only amazingly tough people could live out, even if only for a few years.

Great photo, Briar. I am going to look at the others in this series soon, also. Fascinating landscapes. I never got to Western Washington but have heard much about how different it is from the western part of the state. Got about as far east to the area where they filmed the TV series "Twin Peaks" back in the 80's, back in the 80's. I had to make a "pilgrimage" there to see the diner, the falls, train cars, etc. I loved that show.

Love the mountains in the background. I'm going to imagine that the family that lived in this house/barn won the lottery and moved on to bigger and better things. It's a glass have full, glass half empty situation.
