Farmers in the UK don't much like Chinese lanterns, they have been known to end up in hay bales (in bits) if they are not spotted on the 'hay making field' first. Cows can then get injured by eating it in the hay!

Appears to be a floating lantern, powered by a candle. I can only imagine the sky with hundreds of these floating upward.
