Caption: Hurricane force winds slam into my car as the gust front arrives. The winds were powerful enough to loft decent sized rocks into the air along with all of the sand.

Thanks for the comments! The official measurement on these winds was 89 MPH, which now stands as the strongest thunderstorm wind gust on record in the ABQ area. Furthermore, while not the official measuring point, the Air Traffic Control tower at the Sunport recorded 93 MPH. There has been substantial damage reported citywide.
