Excellent! The supernova is the bright 'star' at 4 o'clock when viewed from the middle of the galaxy. Details to be found on the NASA or University College London websites. Apparently this supernova was discovered by accident at UCL, despite the telescope being in London itself (no dark skies there!) and typical English weather prevailing at the time. Perhaps it's a Champagne Supernova in the Sky?
