We Love Green!

Uploaded by: ArkyMark

Friday July 13, 2012

Hot Springs, AR (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: Did you know that the human eye is more sensitive to green than any other color? (Around the 550 nanometer wavelength in normal daylight.) This means that we can detect more variations in this color than others, and it shouldn't be surprising since we live in a mostly-green world. But it leads to a chicken-and-the-egg type question: Are there actually more "greens" in the world than other colors - or do there only seem to be more because our eyes are more sensitive to them?

ArkyMark

Into Photography for over 30 years, I worked professionally as a studio/portrait photographer for a long time before getting away from it and into programming/web design. The whole world of photography underwent a paradigm-shift while I was away, but now I'm back with a Nikon DSLR and loving every shot of it!
