A Life long Alaskan and a 3'rd generation Alaskan to boot, I enjoy snowmachining, aviation, and photography. I got into amateur photography over the past 5 years and am always learning. I like to say any good picture I take is a mistake and I've made a few mistakes in my life. One of my favorite things to make in photography is panoramic pictures. It takes special software to create them and large format printers to produce them. I have also learned the art and craft of matting and framing my own work so now I have several large panoramic prints hanging around my office and house. Create your own visitor map!
Deshka on Parade

Caption: Enjoying some of her first supervised field trips out into the yard since we got her a few years back from a shelter, our little girl cat Deshka is enjoying the world she has only seen through the window. Deshka is a runner and until she gets used to staying close to us and not running off she only gets to go out on a harness and a lead. Being the girly diva she had to have all of her stuff in pink. GIRLS! I shot this lying on the grass in the yard with my long lens (80-400mm) from about 20 or so feet. I’m trying to get a better feel for using more of the manual settings on the camera and different perspectives using different lenses.
