I'm glad you enjoy the photos, Freebird. :) There are many more eagle shots in the albums. This shot was taken along the river, about 5 miles from where I live. We frequently have them hovering around the chicken pens, drooling. :) If you do come up, you must visit Homer, at the southern tip of the Kenai Peninsula... they are everywhere, and my husband and I love taking photos of them in flight.

Hello AKSnowLuvr, from southeast Alabama, a small town called Elba; I must admit I started out doing some research on certain issues about  the general area of Anchorage, because my son will be flying there mid june for a month stay with some good friends of ours, who have been missionaries for 30 years now and my also wants to become a missionary since his first youth mission trip 2 yrs ago to remote Venezuala and Panama City, Panama and after he graduates this may he will spend 10 days in South Africa and then on to Alaska, for an internship with our friends and then off to Seminary School. Anyway, I saw your blog and the photos of last years lunar eclipse...AWESOME SHOTS SIR, BUT  now I see my favorite bird/animal of all. The bald eagle landing you shot. I tell you sir, I may just have to take a hop and follow my son out there if I can get shots of nature at this level. You have an outstanding taste for your photos and that  makes your pics Great. And my son wondered why I chose for my user name....Hope to see more of your photos, and stay warm. Isaiah 40:31, this is freebird76 saying goodbye and God Bless.
