Special Statement
Statement as of 6:07 AM CST on March 03, 2015

... A wintry mix is expected Wednesday evening through Thursday
morning...

Another strong Arctic cold front will plunge across south central
Texas during the day on Wednesday. Temperatures will rapidly fall
after the frontal passage. Freezing temperatures are expected to
begin to filter into The Hill Country Wednesday evening and spread
to near Highway 90 or north of a del Rio to San Antonio to
Giddings line by Thursday morning. A sleet and freezing rain mix
will develop Wednesday evening across The Hill Country and then
transition to a sleet and snow mix by Thursday morning for areas
north of Highway 90. Areas in The Hill Country and along the I-35
corridor northeast of San Antonio will have the best chances of
accumulating ice with impacts. Temperatures will warm to above
freezing by midday on Thursday with any remaining precipitation
being all rain.

Those residing in or visiting south central Texas should monitor
the forecast for the latest information and updates regarding this
potential winter weather event.
