Areal Flood Advisory
Statement as of 11:17 AM EDT on September 02, 2015

The National Weather Service in Marquette has issued a

* small stream Flood Advisory for...
central Ontonagon County in western Upper Michigan...

* until 215 PM EDT

* at 1116 am EDT... Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause small stream flooding in the
advisory area. Two to three inches of rain have already fallen.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Ontonagon... Bergland... Rockland... Silver City... Mass City...
Greenland... Norwich... Victoria dam and White Pine.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Most flood deaths occur in automobiles. Never drive your vehicle into
areas where the water covers the roadway. Flood waters are usually
deeper than they appear. Just one foot of flowing water is powerful
enough to sweep vehicles off the Road. When encountering flooded
roads make the smart choice... turn around... dont drown.
